Cortez's Fly and Presto's Bounce Back
We've almost all had a pair of Nike Cortez. Whether they hold weight as being that special 'all time fav' shoe, or are a part of ol school day memories that we aint really that nostalgic about, the Cortez remains one of the more worn, owned and timeless sneakers. And as one of the longest running sneakers from Nike these babies have made a Fly comeback!!
Bringing an updated version of the timeless sneaker by adding Flywire technology, (better illustrated on the Lunar Racer) this 1970's sneaker is stamping authority as a modern day classic. classic to bloody dope origins in 1972 to our future in 2009. The siped sole offers great flexibility all while maintaining the Cortez’s iconic sole structure.
This revival of the Cortez went undetected by moi, but i have had and still have a feeling that this revival (i say revival because i know alot of people that dusted off there Cortez's to rock again, with some even going to the lengths of koping originals!) is also gonna happen with Nike Air Presto's.
Yeah, you read right, Presto's. Those collapsible slip on funny things that were all the rage in the summer days of '01-'04 (mind instantly visualising hence brear's with skinny legs in shorts and presto's....lol). Seen quite a few heads reppin these kicks and have heard alot about new releases of these in strong bold colours.
Get ready peoples to don either one of these kicks this summer (and maybe even next!?) And if you really don't fancy Presto's, get on the Nike Air Flow flex, ya heard.
Next prediction of a revival, Air Max 97's!!!
