Kanye West's Louis Vuitton Sneakers. Pt 2

The hype, covertion and anticipation that surrounds big named collabs generally means that like london buses, you'll wait for ever, and then two will come at a time.
The first images that i saw of these were some style snapper type shot of Kanye sporting his futuristic strappy high's - which turns out to be the third installmet of his sneaker collaboration with Louis Vuitton.
The LARGE velcro straps, thick pink midsole high's dont really make it for me....in fact coming to think about it....they're actually really shit!!

These on the other hand are much better.
I like the quilted raised back heel and the placing of the Lois Vuitton logos on the side and tongue. This shoe is better than the above, but doesn't quite do it for me. It's a smart trainer...but like his boat laofer adaptation....is rather BORING!!! and unexciting. Kanye...what happened to your swagger??

Happy CHINESE New Year!! 2009

To celebrate the Chinese New Year, Nike have teamed up with CLOT (Hong Kong's finest)on a special edition of the AF1. The upper of the shoe is dressed in luxurious, vibrant red silk, signature of Chinese tradition and is imprinted with the symbolic representation's for prosperity, happiness and luck. The shoes come with a rather large, but interesting box which i hear CLOT have created in conjunction with their 'think out outside the box' concept.

Jeremy Scott & Adidas

Had no idea that Jeremy Scott did these as well. Better known for transforming and exaggerating the simple elements of a trainer into the main feature of the shoe, these kicks keep the same theme going with Triple Tongues. Mad right!?!, but exactly the type of thing that i love to see in regards to innovative sneaks.

Kanye West's Louis Vuitton Sneakers.

Another collab, another shoe, but this time Louis Vuitton are hooking up with Mr West. In a much anticipated collaboration, we see Kanye giving us folks a sneaky peek of one of the models in his sneaker line for the Louis V fashion house giants.


Loving the classic boat-style, loafer-shoe sneaker, that the all white design encompasses, but when i saw it, i did think "haven't we already seen this before??" Hummm.....I was expected something a little more inventive from Kanye. (however i am intrigued by the leather heel box, and tassells........but Kanye i expect to see MORE!)

Liberty Blazors

Nike have teamed up again with London's Liberty on another of thier classic's, the Blazor. Nike's last collaboration with Liberty in SS08 on their iconic and ever so versatile dunk was a spring/ summer smash that brought colour and pretty style to the London streets (see below),

So Nike have teamed up with Liberty again and brought us more pretty prints on another simplistic and versatile model.


And the print goes on....as MilkFed have remixed the print on last years model to create a mix-match patch work effect of the many Liberty prints available.


Roll on Spring huh? ;-)

Vinti Andrew's Sneaker Pitbull

As i've been bogged down with work and the worst ever flu, i've only finally got my head around January 09. And having spotted this over on the Hypebeast whilst catching up on older posts (...my Internet has messed up too!!! Cha, so far this year's been a bitch man), Vinti Andrews reconstructed Nike Air Max 90 Pitbull has finally put me in a good mood. This may well one of the more interesting things that i see in this cold, dormant, flu ridden month!!

Reebok DROPS.

Saw these last year whilst at a meeting at the Reebok lounge, London. Was pretty interested about these babies, but my focus was on other things at the time...like the meeting!!...and they kinda went to the back of my mind. Anyway, they've finally emerged on blogs which means they'll be dropping soon!! Scheduled for February and April drops, take a look at some of 'Reebok 2009' Ohh..and Alife have come up trumps (AGAIN) collaborating on the Freestyle Hi and Pro Legacy Lux.

Recession Crep (which im sure ive spelt wrong)

In his New Year speech, Gordan Brown finally announced that Britain is in a RECESSION!! Well derhh....
So when i saw this on my way to the bank (again, what a coincidence) i thought 'how fitting right?'. Then on the way back from the bank (which was a complete waste of time as i was served by the most stupid, useless, dandruff ridden man ever) i thought i'd snap the pic for you guys to see.


So......since when did no name all white baitman trainers become designer gear??? Don't waste your money on these...CORRECT...buy some REAL kicks instead!! lol
But all jokes aside, this recession is definitely affecting my sneaker expenditure....so if anyone with some fresh kicks lying around is reading this ...SEND ME SOME FREE SNEAKERS!!!!
