Rio Ferdinand's Air Force 1's

The latest Nike Air Force 1 to come from the 1World project is a collaboration with Manchester United and England defender, Rio Ferdinand. At the top of his game, captaining United in what proved to be a very successful year (never mind Champions league, plus he never captained that game,) and always displaying fine form when on the pitch, Nike's choice of partnership (their first ever 1World collab with a British athlete) is well deserved.

The sneaker comes in a white premium leather colorway, with a see-through gum sole and gold embroidery details on the tongue logo and the heel.

The design isn't very out there colourway or material wise, but works as a very clean and simple shoe.

Interviewed here by the We Are HQ posse who caught him at Nike 1948 during the Q&A event that was hosted in honour of these dropping.

Enjoyed the interview, then you'll love his Online Magazine "5" which is fresh, current, and gives us fans a glimpse into Rio's world off pitch.

Cortez's Fly and Presto's Bounce Back

We've almost all had a pair of Nike Cortez. Whether they hold weight as being that special 'all time fav' shoe, or are a part of ol school day memories that we aint really that nostalgic about, the Cortez remains one of the more worn, owned and timeless sneakers. And as one of the longest running sneakers from Nike these babies have made a Fly comeback!!

Bringing an updated version of the timeless sneaker by adding Flywire technology, (better illustrated on the Lunar Racer) this 1970's sneaker is stamping authority as a modern day classic. classic to bloody dope origins in 1972 to our future in 2009. The siped sole offers great flexibility all while maintaining the Cortez’s iconic sole structure.

This revival of the Cortez went undetected by moi, but i have had and still have a feeling that this revival (i say revival because i know alot of people that dusted off there Cortez's to rock again, with some even going to the lengths of koping originals!) is also gonna happen with Nike Air Presto's.

Yeah, you read right, Presto's. Those collapsible slip on funny things that were all the rage in the summer days of '01-'04 (mind instantly visualising hence brear's with skinny legs in shorts and presto's....lol). Seen quite a few heads reppin these kicks and have heard alot about new releases of these in strong bold colours.

Get ready peoples to don either one of these kicks this summer (and maybe even next!?) And if you really don't fancy Presto's, get on the Nike Air Flow flex, ya heard.

Next prediction of a revival, Air Max 97's!!!

London Lite Sneaker Edition

So i get on the train homeward bound and as there's no seats (i hate that shit, especially after a long bloody day) i have to stand. What a bitch huh. But as I'm standing, I'm able to sneak a glance at some ladies paper. Which i catch her flicking past a sneaker article. So as soon as she gets up (now I'm hoping she'll leave the paper) i jack the seat and the Lite.

Great. And find this interesting piece.

All about sneaker collecting, it gives a brief insight into the world of sneaker collectors and features a few of some rare, highly sought after kicks.
Nike Air Max 90 Infrared's gettin a mention, along with Adidas's Superstar's diamond edition, and Nike Dunk Low SB 'London's to name a few.
Even the Yeezy's get a mention as a shoe that has already got collector gold status.
Big shouts also go to Kish, "the Londoner with 2,000 pairs" as they run a special feature on him, and also shouts to Nash, whose Visvim FBT's are also mentioned as a real gem to collect, having doubled in price.

RESET

This bank holiday weekend saw the Reset event go down at 1948, and what a heavy event it was!!! If for some reason, unknown to man, you have no idea what this event was about, click here, and for those that do, you'll know that the event was predicted to be BIG in every way!!!

Headed down to 1948 early as the much sought after Black Nike Air Yeezy's had landed at the store that morning, and wanted to see which lucky mofo's :-) had koped a pair of these much sought after and talked about sneaker.

Yeezy hype over (although this buzz stayed in the air throughout the day), the sun even higher and brighter in the sky, and RESET began.

WAH Ladies provided some sunshine refreshments!!

These Air Max 90/ Flywire/ Hurrache/ Cement or Elephant print whats-its? were by far the best of the bunch! Acyc, im still trying to figure out what they are...

To all that came down, what an amazing day! The weather was in fine splendor, the space looked amazing, the stands were all so diverse and unique, and the people and the vibes were just fantastic.
A.I.N.T, Allcaps, Benjart, Currency, Cassette Playa, The Devoted, PC. Williams, PAC, The Ugly Kids, Trinotron, Second Son and Trapstar (you man killed it selling out on bare lines)you guys nailed it and repped hard on the UK independent street wear scene. Big Big BIG!!!!!
Big shouts have to go out to Jude, Acyde and Nehjat for the organisation of this mega ting!!

Cant wait for the next one!!
