MOBO Music

As the MOBO'S go under way today (today!! already!! what, no one's been saying nutting bout no MOBO's......yeah, i know!) and i saw these new video releases from two of Britains finest m.c's (is that even the right term?), take a peek at Bashy's Life (who just keeps making really really good videos to boot with extremly well produced tracks...big big) and Kano (good to see the bruda back although this autotune hype is slightly jarring) with his new track Rock N Rolla

Casette Playa x Nike Dunk Hi Redo

After the huge collaborative sucess on the Blazer Hi with Casette Playa, Nike once again hooked up with Carrie Mundane for a Fall 2009 Dunk Hi release. However unable to match the par set by the eye catching and quirky SS09 Blazer, the initail design of this model looked like this:
and in turn, didnt really get the juices flowing. So after some creative updating with twicks here and there, the Casette Playa x Nike Dunk Hi now looks like this:
The clear swoosh remains, and the orange sole carries that Casette Playa vibe alongwith one of her graphics on the toebox, but all in all these fall pretty short of anything 'wow-ey' especially in comparision with the Blazor that seemed to get everyone loving it once some sunny days came to play.

Make up your own mind about these though as they get an October release.

These pieces go really fast and are always hard to kop, so dont sleep irrespective of this instantaneous store, as all the fashionista's in town will be sure to pop up and pick up his stock.

Tongue 'N' Cheek Pre-Release

Last night saw the pre-release of Dizzee Rascal x Ben Dury's Nike Air Max 90's. With Q and A's from one half of duo, Ace & Invis, bbq food and beers to boot, it seems like the nights fun and sale's will set precedent for today's official release at 1948, Arches 477-478, Bateman’s Row, Shoreditch, EC2A 3HH.

Tongue 'N' Cheek

'On Friday 18th September, Nike Sportswear and Mercury Music Prize winning recording artist Dizzee Rascal will release the Nike Air Max 90 ‘Tongue N’ Cheek’ sneaker. The sneaker was created in partnership between Dizzee, Nike Design and long-time Dizzee collaborator and creative director, Ben Drury. Will go on sale exclusively at Nike’s1948 store in London’s Shoreditch, ahead of the release of Dizzee’s fourth LP, Tongue N’ Cheek (Monday 21st September)' Highsnobiety
I have a feeling these are gonna sell out quickly. Despite the fact that im not That keen on these pink/ salmon/ chalky white AM 90's, details such as a reflective image that shapes like Dizzee on the heel and raised 'tongue' and 'cheek' text on the tongues are features that'll make the youths of london town and the stylish keisha's and kim's go bonkers for these. Running streets, goin on dirty, going on stank!



'This promo video has been created specially to celebrate these two releases. Art directed by Drury, shot by hype photographers Tim & Barry the same creative team behind the album artwork, also includes the skills of up and coming director/animator James Copeman. Converse x Patta x Le Le Collection

As Amsterdam’s favorite sneaker collective turns five, Patta joins forces with Converse to create a unique anniversary pack rooted in their mutual love for music, friends and classic street style. In true family-fashion, (these guys like looking after thier fam which i love!!) the collaborators teamed up with the quirky Amsterdam-based music trio Le Le (who work closely with fellow family member, artis Parra) to produce a 12-inch record with ”banging inner-city chic” tracks commemorating the anniversary.
With a nod toward street culture and Converse’s basketball history, the anniversary pack features a classic Varsity Jacket along with two of the brand’s most iconic silhouettes: the Chuck Taylor Hi and the Pro Leather 76.
The Varsity jacket comes in burgundy corduroy with a reversible grey quilted fleece lining. The Pro Leather sports a deep burgundy corduroy upper with quilted grey lining while the Chuck is the polar opposite with a quilted suede upper and burgundy corduroy lining. With 'Le Le' and 'Patta' written on the heels of the Pro Leather 76.
